Apprenticeship as a Cutting Machine Technician
You enjoy working with machines and are skilled with your hands. You like to work diligently and with focus. In school, you are interested in mathematics, technology, and crafts.
Your Training Content:
- Manufacturing processes: turning, milling, drilling
- Operating conventional and CNC turning and milling machines
- Manufacturing workpieces according to drawings
- Reconfiguring machine tools with appropriate machining tools
- Checking the achieved quality using various measuring instruments
- Maintenance and care of machine tools
Requirement:
- Secondary school diploma or intermediate school certificate
Structure of Your Apprenticeship:
1st Year of Apprenticeship: Basic training to learn the foundational skills for metalworking professions (IHK Grunbach).
2nd Year of Apprenticeship: Rotation through several specialized departments in the company. Preparation for Part 1 of the final examination. FAHRION also offers an additional preparation course through the IHK.
3rd Year of Apprenticeship: Further rotation through additional specialized departments within the company.
4th Year of Apprenticeship: During this final half-year, we prepare you for the practical final examination. We train according to demand, meaning it is our goal to retain apprentices after their training. Therefore, we dedicate extra time to specifically prepare you for your upcoming employment at FAHRION.
