Improved damping

Optimised clamping nut design with angular contact bearings and compensation ring.

As a result, the ball-bearing CENTRO|P clamping nuts achieve a resulting clamping force between 350 Nm and 380 Nm. More than sufficient to prevent twisting of, for example, a wedge collet with pull-out protection.

What is more, the multi-part CENTRO|P clamping nuts enhance vibration damping throughout the system by decoupling the two bearing shells.

Benefits of angular contact bearings

The compensation ring allows the collet to be clamped without radial forces. When tightening, the pressure on the collet is exerted only in the axial direction from top to bottom.

Passend zu den Spannfutterkörpern sind auch die Spannmuttern unter anderem mit einer FAHRION|Protect Beschichtung geschützt. Gerade die Spannmuttern sind stark vor Kontaktrost gefährdet, da sie großflächig mit Handschweiß in Berührung kommen.

Wir verzichten in allen CENTRO|P Spannmuttern sowohl auf Exzenter als auch andere einseitige Einhängemechanismen, die eine konstruktive Unwucht der Spannmutter bedeuten.

1. Dadurch sind unsere Spannmuttern sowohl außen als auch innen völlig rotationssymmetrisch ohne konstruktive Unwucht.


2. Beim Montieren der Spannzange können Sie auf die Suche nach der richtigen Einhängeposition verzichten. Dadurch können Sie die Spannzange leichter und schneller einsetzen.

Roller wrenches ensure safe, quick, and straightforward clamping of clamping nuts using rollers, eliminating the risk of injury as slipping is not possible.
FAHRION roller keys are available either with a handle (RO/ROD/RH) or with a square socket for use with a torque wrench (DRH/DRO). The following table provides an overview of which roller keys are compatible with which CENTRO|P clamping chucks.

The clamping nuts, matching the clamping chuck bodies, are also protected with a FAHRION|Protect coating. Clamping nuts are particularly susceptible to contact corrosion due to their extensive contact with hand perspiration.

Complete Rotational Symmetry

We avoid both eccentrics and other one-sided hanging mechanisms in all CENTRO|P clamping nuts, which would cause an inherent imbalance.

1. Therefore, our clamping nuts are entirely rotationally symmetric inside and out, with no structural imbalance.

2. When installing the collet, you can avoid searching for the correct hanging position. This allows for quicker and easier collet installation.
